Rani Durgavati University Alumni Association JABALPUR(M.P.)

Named as “Sanskardhani”(City of Culture) by no less a personage than Acharya Vinobha Bhave, Jabalpur has been the cradle of modern education for over a century. The eponymous university is proud of its illustrious alumni. Its venerable portals have heard the footfalls of millions of knowledge seekers from Acharya Rajneesh the spiritual guru to industrial captains of India’s newest conquests. It cherishes no less its other alumni who did not pursue name or fame but carry its love in their hearts.

The objectives of this revived effort to rejuvenate the alumni association are:

1.   To afford a space (cyber as well as real) for nostalgia and reconnecting,

2.   To contribute to the university education enrichment through suggestions, funds and other means,

3.   To mentor present day university students for facing the world.

 To meet these objectives, it is proposed:

1.   To have an alumni meet as soon as possible (say April 2007),

2.   To form a core group of alumni who may sift through all suggestions and advise the university,

3.   To collect data on alumni and ask for volunteers for mentoring.
