 Women's Violence and sexual harassment complaint Cell:

A cell has been established in the  University  to prevent the problems of violence and sexual  harassment against women in the University campus. As per directives of Honorable Supreme Court against the writ petition no. 666/97 a woman cell was formed vide Rani Durgavati University letter no. estt/2000/28 dated 07/03/2000. WE ARE HAPPY TO REPORT THAT DUE TO VIGILANCE OF THE CELL, UTD CAMPUS IS FREE FROM COMPLAINTS IN THIS REGARD

Shri Arun Gurtoo Vice-Chancellor reconstituted women cell vide letter no. estt/2001/1004 dated 30/8/2001 to solve the problems of women’s and to activate the cell. Present members of the cell are as follows:-

Members of the cell have taken over charge on 01/09/2001 and have started activity of the cell.

The women cell has taken initiation to follow instruction strictly for the duty places as per bylaws. The bylaws were circulated amongst the female workers of all department of the university.

A proposal was submitted by the cell to arrange ladies lavatory and women common room, which was accepted by Vice-Chancellor and rooms were arranged. Vice-chancellor has taken action as per rules on cases of women harassment put up by women cell

On 08/03/2002 a proposal was unanimously passed to educate class III and IV female employees of university. To implement this proposal Honorable Vice Chancellor has made availability of study materials–slate, chalk , chart, pencils, notebooks, etc. This education program is successfully running from 01/05/2002 for literate female employees.
